Online Resources

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer

and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

We will be updating this page with resources that you can use to deepen your spiritual life during this time of social distancing.

While we cannot be together physcially as a Chrisitian community rest assured that we remain united spiritually by the love of Christ our Lord who never abandons us.

Please join us in praying for an end to this global pandemic and praying for comfort and courage for those who are suffering most during this time.

A Virtual Retreat with Cardinal Seán

Christ, Our Light in the Darkness

We will remember this Lent as one “in quarantine.” Social distancing the new norm as daily social interactions are suddenly unavailable to us. Schools are closed. We can’t go out to restaurants. Even public Mass has been suspended to curtail any further spread of this coronavirus. Many people feel alone. Many are scared. And people are thirsting for something good.

Here is a prayer you can use for when we feel afraid:

“My Lord and my God, when I feel afraid, guide me to turn that fear into trust in you. Teach me to notice when fear begins to arise in me, and then remind me that I can use it as an opportunity to draw closer to you. Show me if there is anything I need to do to deal with those things that frighten me, and then help me hand the situation over to you, my God. I will affirm over and over the words of the psalmist: ‘In God I trust; I am not afraid.’”

(Taken from Surrendering Our Stress: Prayers to Calm the Soul and Strengthen the Spirit, by Joan Guntzelman.)
