On Saturday, May 22, 2021, the second grade class at Our Lady of the Assumption made their First Holy Communion.  What a blessing it was for students and family to be able to celebrate this wonderful sacrament despite a trying year with the pandemic!  Great job grade 2!!!!!

2019 Homeless Outreach

Several students and parents from our Confirmation class worked diligently yesterday, November 2nd to put care packages together for homeless people in Boston.  William Selvitelle, one of our parishioners who works tirelessly with the homeless, will deliver those packages to Boston later this week.  A huge thank you to all who contributed as well as our students who worked on this project!

Lighthouse Paint Night

On Saturday, October 26th several parishioners and friends learned to paint lighthouses under the direction of parishioner/artist Fred Dolan.  Thanks to Fred's generosity as well as those who painted or donated to our fundraising, we were able to raise $190 for the Confirmation class bread baking service project!

2019 Living Stations

On Friday, April 7, 2019, students from the grades 9 and 10 Chosen classes reenacted the Passion of Christ.  Please take a moment to view the You Tube video of the most moving portrayal of the Living Stations. 



Homeless Outreach

On Saturday, March 24th, many students from the Chosen Confirmation program as well as adult volunteers prepared "kindness bundles" to be distributed to homeless individuals in Boston.  Students collected toiletries, gift cards, clothing, blankets, etc. that were organized into bundles and later given to Bill Selvitelle to distribute to his friends in Boston!

OLA would like to thank those who contributed either their time or donations to this worthy cause as well as Bill for his continued outreach to the homeless.

Christmas Buoy Paint Night

On Monday, December 17th, several budding artists took brushes in hand created Christmas trees, snowmen and angels on buoys under the directions of Kim Hutchinson.  Check out the creations!  We also raised $140 for the Marshfield Food Pantry!!!!



2018 VBS

During the week of August 6th-10th, several of our youth - ages 2 through 10 - participated in vacation bible camp.  Each day our campers learned the different ways that God keeps His promises to us.

Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles came the final day for a performance of one of our camps songs and to enjoy pizza and ice cream.   View Photos 



2018 Confirmation

What a busy month it's been!  On Sunday, May 19th, Bishop Dooher presided at our Confirmation Mass where 38 students received the Holy Spirit.

2018 First Communion

On Saturday, May 12, 2018, 33 students received the sacrament of First Holy Communion.  Several of our students returned on Sunday to participate in the May Procession and crown Our Blessed Mother.

Living Stations - March 23, 2018

On Friday, March 23rd, students from our Edge and Chosen classes acted out the stations of the cross.  What a moving experience to participate in the crucifixion of Jesus.

Epiphany Play-1/8/17

On Sunday, January 8th, several students in the Family Faith Formation Program participted an Epiphany Play during the homily of our 10:30AM Mass.  Even the snowstorm could not stop our actors and actresses from performing this moving play.  Check out our photos.

Bread Baking - December 16, 2017

On Saturday, December 16th, students from our Edge and Chosen classes as well as parent volunteers created cards to let parishioners who had lost a loved one this year know that we are thnking of them.  In addition, the students baked bread and delivered the bread to the homes of our parishioners.

The students experienced the joy of giving through this simple act of kindness.

Feast of the Assumption-8/14/16

On Sunday, August 14, several parishioners - 135 to be exact - attended a cookout to celebrate our patron saint following the 10:30 AM Mass.  A big THANK YOU to all those who helped make this event a success! We hope to see more of you next year!  Check out our photos.
